Bulgaria requires 4 post-adoption reports for period of 2 years after the adoption. The reports are made on every 6 months, by a licensed social worker.

The reports must contain information about the physical and psychical development of the child, for his/hers adaptation and to be accompanied with pictures of the child.

The adopter is obligated by law to strictly follow the schedule for sending the reports.
